Spread the word. “Trunking,” or letting passengers ride in your vehicle’s trunk, is unsafe and illegal. It’s a growing problem with some teen drivers. Sixteen to 19 year-olds are more likely to be in an accident than any other age group.
With the Graduated Driver License program, teens can only drive with a single passenger. But some see “trunking,” as a way to bring more friends along for the ride.
Teens have suffocated, and died while riding in trunks.
